BLG Sweep Unbeaten Dplus KIA 3-0 to Reach Worlds Semis
Bilibili Gaming beat Dplus KIA 3-0 in the Worlds 2026 quarter-finals.

Bilibili Gaming did not just beat Dplus KIA at the League of Legends World Championship 2026. They dismantled the tournament's most untouchable team, sweeping the previously unbeaten Korean side 3-0 in Allen, Texas, in a quarter-final played on Thursday, November 5 and reported on Friday, November 6. The LPL second seed advanced to the semifinals, while the LCK fourth seed headed home with a perfect record gone in three straight games.
The win made Bilibili Gaming the third team into the last four, joining Gen.G and Invictus Gaming. It guaranteed them at least a third-place finish and 400,000 dollars in prize money, while Dplus KIA settled for fifth to eighth place and 300,000 dollars. Bilibili Gaming missed Worlds last year and had not reached a semifinal since finishing second at Worlds 2024, while Dplus KIA recorded their best Worlds finish since 2022.
A perfect record, undone in three games
Dplus KIA arrived as one of only two teams to finish the Swiss Stage at 3-0. They had beaten G2 Esports, T1 and Movistar KOI without dropping a game, and looked like the most settled team left in the tournament. Bilibili Gaming had taken the opposite road. They lost their opening Swiss match to Movistar KOI, recovered against Team Liquid Alienware and Karmine Corp, lost a 2-1 reverse sweep to Top Esports, and only survived by sweeping Hanwha Life Esports in the final round.
The teams had met earlier in the year, when Dplus KIA beat Bilibili Gaming 2-1 at the Esports World Cup, which Dplus KIA went on to win. Bilibili Gaming had won the First Stand Tournament and finished second at the Mid-Season Invitational in 2026, but nothing in the Swiss Stage suggested a sweep.

How Bilibili Gaming took control
Game 1 set the tone. Bilibili Gaming won 24-9 on kills in 33 minutes and 20 seconds, turning a chaotic early game into a rout after a disastrous Rift Herald fight for Dplus KIA. Peng Xun Lixun starred on Naafiri with 12 kills, one death and eight assists, while Park Viper Do-hyeon drew attention with an unusual Cassiopeia pick in the bot lane. Once Bilibili Gaming secured every dragon, the Elder Dragon and the Baron, the game was effectively over.
Game 2 was closer, 13-10 in 32 minutes and 20 seconds, but Dplus KIA could not contest the objectives that mattered most. Bilibili Gaming secured the Cloud Soul at around 23 minutes, and a last stand at the Elder Dragon came too late. Viper led his team on Ezreal with a 5/2/7 scoreline, while Zhuo knight Ding went deathless on Orianna, finishing 2/0/8.
Game 3 belonged to Chen Bin Zebin. On Jax, he finished 12/4/5 as Bilibili Gaming won 25-9. Bin took two solo kills and helped build a lead of more than 5,000 gold, and the early top-lane dive Dplus KIA hoped would swing the lane instead handed Jax a double kill. Dplus KIA did take the dragon that would have given Bilibili Gaming the Mountain Soul, but four of their players died in the fight that followed, and Bilibili Gaming closed the series.
The numbers behind the sweep
Across the three games, Bilibili Gaming outscored Dplus KIA 62-28 in kills, took 14 of the 15 dragons and all four Barons, and support Luo ON Wenjun recorded 43 assists. After the match, Viper said he had not expected a 3-0, and had prepared for a 3-1 win or even a full five-game series. Siwoo, the Dplus KIA top laner, pointed to the failed top tower dive in Game 3 and a Viktor caught at Level 1 as his most regrettable moments, and said Dplus KIA had lacked raw power compared with their opponents. Even Heo ShowMaker Su, who had said he was treating this tournament as possibly his last Worlds, could not steady a team losing fights around every major objective.

What comes next for Bilibili Gaming
Bilibili Gaming will play their semifinal on Sunday, November 8, against the winner of the final quarter-final between T1 and Karmine Corp, played on Friday, November 6. The other semifinal, on Saturday, November 7, pits Gen.G against Invictus Gaming. The final is scheduled for November 14 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
T1 beat Bilibili Gaming in the Worlds 2024 final, and Viper said he expects T1 to advance, while noting that Bilibili Gaming have never beaten T1 at Worlds, losing all three previous meetings. Beating T1 at Worlds, he said, would prove just how strong this team is. Karmine Corp, by contrast, are a team Bilibili Gaming already beat in this year's Swiss Stage.
For Dplus KIA, the season ends with a contradiction. They won the Esports World Cup, swept the Swiss Stage, beat G2 Esports and T1 along the way, and still left Worlds in the quarter-finals without winning a game in the Knockout Stage. Siwoo called it an eventful year and said the experience would help his future career, crediting head coach Kim Dae-ho. At Worlds, a perfect Swiss record buys a quarter-final, not a semifinal.
