TES Reverse-Sweep BLG Into Worlds 2026 Quarterfinals as KC Send CFO Home
Top Esports completed a 2-1 reverse sweep of Bilibili Gaming to book a quarterfinal place, while Karmine Corp swept CTBC Flying Oyster 2-0 in an elimination match interrupted by long technical pauses.

A day of survival and separation in Allen

Day 6 of the Swiss stage at the League of Legends World Championship 2026 drew a sharp line through the field on Thursday, 29 October 2026, at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas. One all-Chinese series decided a quarterfinal place. One elimination series decided who went home. By the end of the day, Top Esports had completed a reverse sweep to reach the last eight, Karmine Corp had kept their tournament alive, and CTBC Flying Oyster had become the third team eliminated from Worlds 2026.
The results clarified what remains. Top Esports became the fifth team to qualify for the quarterfinals, joining Gen.G, Dplus KIA, T1 and Invictus Gaming. Bilibili Gaming, the LPL second seed, dropped to 2-2 and still have one final chance in the 2-2 bracket. Karmine Corp improved to 2-2 and will play a final Swiss match for a quarterfinal spot. CTBC Flying Oyster finished 1-3 and are out, following Anyone's Legend and Team Secret Whales.
Top Esports reverse-sweep Bilibili Gaming 2-1

The headline series was a duel between two of China's leading teams, and for much of the opener it looked as though it would be short. Bilibili Gaming won the first game in a near-rout, taking control early and never really letting Top Esports back into the contest. Top Esports did not fold, however.
The second game changed the shape of the series. Top Esports steadied, found their footing in the mid and late game, and levelled at 1-1. That set up a decider with a quarterfinal place on the line, and it delivered the closest contest of the series. The third game ran 37.5 minutes and finished 13 kills to 10 in Top Esports' favour, a tense, hard-fought conclusion rather than a comfortable close.
Individual moments helped explain why the series swung. In game 1, 369 solo-killed Knight in lane, a bright spot for Top Esports even as the game slipped away. The wider series also carried a notable bottom-lane duel of champion AD carries: JackeyLove against Viper, with JackeyLove's world title with Invictus Gaming in 2018 part of the backdrop.
The achievement is made more striking by who was missing. Top Esports reached the quarterfinals even without starting toplaner ZUIAN, whose absence has been linked to visa issues that also kept some coaches out. Reaching the last eight under those circumstances, against the LPL second seed, underlines the depth and composure the side has found at this tournament. For Bilibili Gaming, the defeat is a setback, not yet an exit. At 2-2, they still control their own fate in the final Swiss round, but they will have no further margin for error.
Karmine Corp sweep CTBC Flying Oyster 2-0
The day's elimination match could hardly have started more decisively. Karmine Corp dominated game 1 against CTBC Flying Oyster, building an 8,000 gold lead by 20 minutes and closing in 27 minutes with a 19-3 kill scoreline.
Game 2 was a different story, and for long stretches it looked as though the series would be levelled. CTBC Flying Oyster led early, with Doggo on Caitlyn central to their plan. They took three towers by 18 minutes and built a 4,000 gold lead, later extending it to around 4,500 gold and securing the Dragon Soul.
Karmine Corp, however, found their way back through decisive mid-lane teamfights. They neutralised CTBC Flying Oyster's main damage threats at the key moments, took Baron, and closed out the series after a fight around Elder Dragon.
The second game was also interrupted by multiple technical pauses, including one lasting nearly 30 minutes. The stoppages became a talking point afterwards. There is, however, no confirmation that the pauses influenced the result. Karmine Corp's Caliste described the experience frankly, saying: "So mentally it was complicated, and above all pretty unusual. [...] the pauses felt like an eternity for us."
For CTBC Flying Oyster, the 2-0 defeat ended their Worlds run at 1-3, making them the third team out after Anyone's Legend and Team Secret Whales. For Karmine Corp, the LEC third seed, the win moved them to 2-2 and kept alive a campaign that had already survived an elimination match.
What happens next
The Swiss stage now moves into its final, unforgiving phase. Round 4 eliminations take place on 30 October, with Team Liquid Alienware facing LOS and G2 Esports facing Hanwha Life Esports. The winners will join the 2-2 bracket for Round 5 on 31 October, alongside Movistar KOI, LYON, Bilibili Gaming and Karmine Corp.
Six teams will therefore contest the last three quarterfinal places on 31 October, with three winners advancing and three going home. The quarterfinal draw follows on 31 October, and the quarterfinals begin on 3 November. For Bilibili Gaming and Karmine Corp, one more win stands between them and the same prize — and one more defeat ends their Worlds 2026.
