Two out, two one win from the quarterfinals

Day 4 of the League of Legends World Championship 2026 Swiss Stage ended with two teams going home and two more moving one win from the quarterfinals. At the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, on Monday, October 26, the four results from the second day of Round 3 settled the first elimination lines of the tournament: T1 and Bilibili Gaming won their mid-table best-of-one matches to reach 2-1, while LØS and Team Liquid won their elimination best-of-three series 2-0 to survive at 1-2. Anyone’s Legend and Team Secret Whales, both top seeds from their regions, finished 0-3 and became the first teams eliminated from Worlds 2026.

T1 and BLG take the mid-table games

T1’s win over CTBC Flying Oyster was the day’s opening statement from a team that knows this stage better than almost anyone. The three-time defending champions beat CFO 1-0 in 27 minutes on the blue side, with jungler Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun finishing 4-1-5. CFO had threatened early, and Chiu “Doggo” Tzu-Chuan’s Kai’Sa gave T1 something real to solve, but T1’s mid-game teamfighting and lockdown — built around Vi, Galio and Ambessa, with Rakan alongside — turned two fights into a decisive advantage and then into a Nexus. It was not a flawless performance, but it was the kind of controlled, tournament-tested win that explains why T1 remain dangerous even when they are not at their peak. CFO, now 1-2, drop into the survival pool, where one more loss ends their tournament.

Bilibili Gaming’s 1-0 win over Karmine Corp followed a similar script, only slower and more deliberate. BLG beat KC in 36 minutes on the blue side, with Park “Viper” Do-hyeon posting 5-1-6 on Kai’Sa. The game was tied 3-3 in kills at 20 minutes and BLG held only a slight gold lead, with both teams clearly aware of what a loss would cost. The break came around dragon, where KC’s slight mispositioning cost them deaths and objectives, and BLG turned that opening into a 4,000-gold lead, then a Baron, then the game. For KC, the defeat was their second in a row and dropped them to 1-2, alongside CFO, Team Liquid and LØS. For BLG, it was a step toward the quarterfinals — and a reminder that, in a single-game series, patience can be as powerful as aggression.

Brazil survives, and two top seeds go home

The elimination series produced the day’s most emotional result. LØS beat Team Secret Whales 2-0 — 40 minutes on red in game one and 37 minutes on red in game two — to record Brazil’s first Swiss Stage win of Worlds 2026 and eliminate the LCP’s top seed at 0-3. TSW had the better of the early game in the opener with a snowball composition, but LØS clawed back through macro play and objective fights, winning a Baron fight to close out the first game behind Kalista and Renata Glasc. Game two was more controlled for the Brazilian side, with Kim “Zest” Dong-min’s Kennen and an Ashe and Kennen combination that outfought and outscaled TSW’s Vi and Miss Fortune pairing. Wallyson “Duduhh” Silva finished the series 11-5-14 across the two games. TSW’s exit is a sobering one for a top seed: three series, no series wins, and no second chance in this format.

Team Liquid’s 2-0 sweep of Anyone’s Legend was, if anything, even more striking. TL opened with a 33-minute win on red and completed the sweep with a 47-minute win on blue, eliminating the LPL’s top seed at 0-3. Sean “Yeon” Sung finished the series 13-4-13, and his Xayah performance in the decisive second game helped TL survive a chaotic mid-game in which AL briefly threatened to level the series. Morgan’s Camille dominated game one, and CoreJJ’s Rakan engages repeatedly saved teamfights in game two, when AL’s mid-game advantage could easily have become a series-tying win. AL arrived as the LPL’s top seed after losing earlier to Karmine Corp and Top Esports, and they leave without a series win. Hotspawn reported that AL were without assistant coach Zhou “Despa1r” Lipeng, who was unable to obtain a United States visa; that context is noted here as reported, not presented as the reason for their elimination, which was decided on the Rift across three series.

What Round 4 now decides

The standings after Day 4 are now clear, and they set up a high-stakes Round 4. Gen.G and Dplus KIA have already qualified at 3-0. T1 and Bilibili Gaming sit at 2-1, one best-of-three win from the quarterfinals. Karmine Corp, CTBC Flying Oyster, Team Liquid and LØS are at 1-2, one loss from elimination. The quarterfinals begin on November 3 in Allen, with the final on November 14 at Barclays Center in New York, where the champion will take $1 million from a $5 million prize pool.

What Day 4 proved, above all, is that seeding is a starting point, not a shield. Two top seeds are already out, a Brazilian team that entered the day winless has new life, and two former champions and contenders in T1 and BLG are within touching distance of the knockout stage. The Swiss Stage still has room for recovery — the 1-2 teams are alive, and the 2-1 losers in Round 4 will get another chance in Round 5 — but the margin is gone. From here, every series is either a qualification match or an elimination match, and the teams that survived Monday did so by winning when losing meant going home.
