NJPW Super Jr. Tag League Night 4: Two teams surge to six points in Koga
Night 4 in Koga was A Block only, streamed on NJPW World.

Two teams hit six points as Night 4 reshapes A Block
This was a new night, not a rerun. After Night 3 at Korakuen Hall, which was covered in the October 27 morning edition, the Super Junior Tag League moved to Koga City for Night 4 on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The Road to Power Struggle show came from the Hanamomo Gymnasium in Ibaraki and streamed on NJPW World, with only A Block in tournament action. By the end of the evening, the three-way logjam at the top of A Block had broken into a two-team lead, and the bottom of the block had been cut adrift.
A Block: Ishimori and Robbie X stay perfect in the race

Unbound Co.'s Taiji Ishimori and Robbie X opened the tournament portion of the night against KUUKAI and Master Wato, and the stakes were plain: defeat would have ended the challengers' hopes, while victory kept the winners level at the summit. Ishimori and Robbie X took the win, finishing KUUKAI with the X Express after a back-and-forth contest in which Wato and KUUKAI had threatened an upset with dives to the floor and a top-rope moonsault. The result moved Ishimori and Robbie X to 3-1 and six points, while KUUKAI and Wato fell to 1-3 and two points, unable to catch the leaders with one round of block matches remaining.
The middle of the block tightened in the second tournament match. Kazuma Sumi and Ryusuke Taguchi beat Nick Wayne and KUSHIDA, with Taguchi rolling up KUSHIDA for the flash pin after a fast, high-tempo exchange that had swung both ways. Both teams now sit at 2-2 with four points, still within reach of the leaders but with no margin left for another defeat. For Wayne and KUSHIDA, a team that had started the night among the block leaders, the loss was a costly stumble at exactly the wrong stage of the round-robin.
The main event closed the night in brutal fashion. HOUSE OF TORTURE's Yoshinobu Kanemaru and DOUKI beat Místico and Masatora Yasuda, with DOUKI pinning Yasuda after the Suplex De La Luna. The champions' challengers had attacked before the bell and isolated Yasuda for long stretches, while Místico, still selling the early assault, could only briefly turn the match when he finally reached the ring. The win took Kanemaru and DOUKI to 3-1 and six points, level with Ishimori and Robbie X, while Místico and Yasuda dropped to 1-3 and two points, also unable to catch the six-point leaders.
Undercard: HOUSE OF TORTURE, TMDK and Wolf's team win

The non-tournament action still carried plenty of block implications, even if none of it changed the standings. HOUSE OF TORTURE's SHO, Dick Togo and Yujiro Takahashi beat Blake Christian, Lee Johnson and Yushin Hatazawa in the opener, before YOH, Hyo and Tatsuya Matsumoto defeated Unbound Co.'s Titan, Daiki Nagai and Gedo. TMDK's Robbie Eagles, Kosei Fujita and Hartley Jackson then beat United Empire's Francesco Akira, Jakob Austin Young and Zane Jay, a result that kept the spotlight on the uneasy United Empire pairing of Akira and Young ahead of the B Block resumption.
The final undercard bout saw Aaron Wolf, Boltin Oleg and Toru Yano defeat Taichi, Yuya Uemura and Taisei Nakahara. It was a useful showcase for Wolf and Oleg, both titleholders, alongside the ever-dangerous Yano, and it gave the Koga crowd a heavyweight-flavoured contest before the junior heavyweight tournament took centre stage.
A Block standings after Night 4
The picture is now much clearer than it was after Night 3. Ishimori and Robbie X and Kanemaru and DOUKI lead A Block on six points each, and Ishimori and Robbie X hold the tiebreaker between the two after already beating Kanemaru and DOUKI earlier in the tournament. Sumi and Taguchi and Wayne and KUSHIDA sit two points behind on four points, while KUUKAI and Wato and Místico and Yasuda are on two points and can no longer reach the top of the block.
- HOUSE OF TORTURE (Yoshinobu Kanemaru and DOUKI): 3-1, 6 points
- Unbound Co. (Taiji Ishimori and Robbie X): 3-1, 6 points
- Kazuma Sumi and Ryusuke Taguchi: 2-2, 4 points
- Nick Wayne and KUSHIDA: 2-2, 4 points
- KUUKAI and Master Wato: 1-3, 2 points
- Místico and Masatora Yasuda: 1-3, 2 points
What comes next
The tournament now takes a short break before Night Five at the Gifu Memorial Center Fureai Dome on Friday, October 30, where the focus switches to B Block. That night will test whether the four-way tie at the top of B Block breaks as decisively as A Block did in Koga, and whether United Empire's internal tension becomes a storyline or a turning point. For A Block's leaders, the wait is now about who blinks first: with one block match left for each team, the race to the top is no longer about the pack, but about two teams and the tiebreaker already separating them.
