World Boxing’s draw announcement lists 306 male and 168 female competitors across 20 weight categories. The event guide says 69 national federations are represented at the Mediterranean Sports Center in Montenegro.

## Opening bouts are confirmed

Competition is scheduled to begin at 18:00 local time on Friday, equivalent to 16:00 UTC. The first programme uses two rings and includes the men’s 55kg and over-90kg divisions, together with the women’s 60kg category.

Among the opening pairings, Ireland’s Lee Largey Snoddon meets Australia’s David Mlacic at 55kg. The women’s 60kg programme includes Germany’s Xenia Scharapinski against Ekaterina Nesvetaeva and China’s Shasha Wang against Algeria’s Meriem Sari.

The draw is an important planning point because it establishes opponents and possible routes through the preliminary rounds. It does not establish favourites or guarantee a medal opportunity for any athlete: those questions will be settled in the ring.

## A broad international field

The men’s 65kg division has the largest entry, with 45 athletes. The women’s 51kg competition contains 23 boxers, making it the largest women’s bracket in the organiser’s draw report.

The tournament programme builds toward semi-finals on 25 October, a rest day on 26 October and finals on 27 October. World Boxing says bouts will be available live and on demand through its own broadcast service.

For readers following a particular boxer, the daily bout schedule remains the key reference. The opening session time is confirmed, but individual ring walks depend on the order and duration of earlier contests. No result or medal has been assigned in this preview.
